Do or Do Not.

Monday Photo: Side Street

with 4 comments

This is the south face of the RISD Museum; nothing special about the street or anything–I just liked the perspective of the buildings as the street went downhill.

I know, I know…time to go on another photo expidition. I’ve clearly run out of pictures to post.

Looks like a great museum. Have you been in?

Yup, sure have, and it’s pretty cool–it’s not huge, but they’ve got some interesting stuff in there. I was particularly fond of the ten-foot stone Buddha. :)

The RISD museum is fantastic with an incredible collection most of which is in storage because of the size of the museum. The thing is, what you are looking at in the picture is not atually the museum. It’s called the College Building and, while it is a part of RISD, it contains liberal arts classrooms, painting studios, the textile department, the library (which is moving to a new building) and some other offices. The museum stands north of where this photo was taken. Just thought I’d point that out.

My mistake, Tania–is the College Building connected to/adjacent to the museum, or is my memory from when I took the picture a couple of months back just totally off? :)

    And thanks for reading!
