Sharing secrets (not mine, not right now)
Everyone has secrets. Everyone. Some secrets are inconsequential. Some define the whole of a person’s life–sometimes by keeping the secret, sometimes by letting it free.
PostSecret shares some of those secrets: users anonymously send in homemade postcards with their secrets on them. What’s written on these postcards ranges from the silly to the sublime to the tragic. I can’t even imagine how heavy the weight of some of these secrets must have been for the people carrying them. I sincerely hope that letting the secrets out, even if no one ever knows from whom these revelations came, helps make that load a little bit lighter.
